Lead Teacher

Wesley Community Centers of Savannah, Inc. is seeking a full-time Lead Teacher, Infant Room for an NAEYC accredited, Quality Rated Early Childhood program. Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred, from an accredited college or university. At least two years experience in early childhood preferred. Satisfactory comprehensive background check and drug screen required.


Assistant Teacher

Wesley Community Centers of Savannah, Inc. is seeking a full-time Assistant Teacher for NAEYC accredited, Quality Rated Early Childhood programs. Minimum of CDA from accredited college or university. At least two years’ experience in early childhood preferred. Satisfactory comprehensive background check and drug screen required.


Summer Camp Counselor

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and ensuring the well-being of campers while fostering their personal growth and development by implementing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineer, Art, and Math) principles and enhancing their literacy skills.

Duties:

  • Supervise and engage with campers in various activities centered around STEAM concepts such as arts and crafts, critical thinking, sports, and outdoor adventures.

  • Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and teamwork among campers.

  • Educate campers on safety protocols and ensure adherence to camp rules.

  • Provide first aid when necessary and maintain a safe environment for all participants.

  • Assist in planning and implementing daily schedules and special events.

  • Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to address any concerns or needs.

  • Foster personal growth by mentoring campers in skills such as teamwork, leadership, and conflict resolution.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children in settings such as camps, daycare, or tutoring is preferred.

  • Knowledge of first aid practices and CPR is highly desirable.

  • Background in early childhood education or related fields is a plus.

  • Strong classroom management skills to effectively engage with diverse groups of children.

  • Ability to educate campers on various topics while promoting a fun learning environment.

  • A passion for working with students and helping them grow personally and socially.

  • Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when needed.
